Mobile Phone Tools

I know there has been alot of talk about this subject, and I've looked through the forum for answers but am having trouble.
First off, is Mobile Phone Tools software I have to buy or is it a free download? I've gone into Verizon stores, Best Buy etc. and they never heard of this software. I tell them it is software that syncs up your bluetooth phone (ie v3c) and the PC..is this accurrate?
Im looking to use it to transfer ringers and wallpapers to my phone - thats about it.
Can someone explain to me where I can get this Mobile Phone Tools and how much it is (if it cost anything at all)
Thanks so much in advance!
Nobody can help me with this? Ive been searching google for it and noticed this software is available for around $30 with the USB hookup from various websites. Ive also noticed its on ebay for a decent price, about $10 buy it now and another $8-10 for shipping.
Does it have to be v3.0 or better to be compatable with the v3c?
Is there any store I can go to myself and buy it? CompUsa? BestBuy? Circuit City? Staples? ?? Ive been searching their sites but have no luck.
I dont feel like waiting for it to ship from an online purchase, Id rather just pick it up in person but I cant find where I can do that..Anyone?
As long as you don't get a 3.xxm version, you can do a live update to Version 3.28 which is what you need for the V3c.
Thanks for the reply wnrussell!
My biggest concern was where I can find Mobile PhoneTools? I noticed I can purchase it online from various places and even cheap through ebay - but is there any store I can go into that has this?
also, is this something that even needs to be purchased or can I just download it for free somewhere?
Thanks in advance!!

OK, After reading posts here and at Howard Forums I am oulining how to get MPT to work on the razr v3c. I Have Windows XP Professional.
First: The verizon v3c is NOT supported with version 3.28 of MPT. BVRP the makers of MPT state this in their support forum. They state that it will be 'somewhat' supported in version 4.xx of MPT but will still not support Multimedia Center because verizon has disabled this feature (I wonder why?).
So here is how to still get it to work.
1. Download and install BVRP's Driver Tool.

Hi Greyboy,
MPT is not free, but maybe you can find an evaluation version of it, maybe try Howard Forums. 🙂. If you cannot find an evaluation version of it, then buy it online at the cheapest price you can find, you can update it to the latest version, follow the walkthrough.
