Now, use the ps2 convertion tool (from ps3tools) to customize its icon and background image and generate a pkg from the game's iso. Just install it (no signing needed for the game's pkg) and it will run (with HAN enabled). PSP Remasters: There's no official full PSP games released on the PS3, even though the console can run most games at some.

STEP 1: Download PSX2PSP v1.4.2

DOWNLOAD:MEGA GDrive

First we need to download a program to convert PSX games to PSP EBOOT, it’s called PSX2PSP.
I’ve made a pack with the latest version (1.4.2) and also a file necessary for the program to work, yes the infamous BASE.PBP file is already included, so all you need to do is download it and extract it:

STEP 2: Run the Program:

Open the program (PSX2PSP.exe) and you will see the interface, it looks like this:

So what you do is click on the […] icons and search for what the program is asking:
1- The ISO/BIN/IMG of the game you want to convert.
2- A folder to save the EBOOT.PBP
3- It’s a list of existing games, you have to choose the game you are converting from the list and it will fill all the other blanks for you.
4- An icon image, not mandatory but looks cool.
5- A background.

You can add music and other stuff but i usually only do the icon+background, a good resource for them on QuickJump forums where users make them and share them.

Note: I recommend you click options and set compression to 1. It’s the setting that worked best for me, no compression often make the eboot not work at all. and too much compression can cause glitches so i always use 1.

6- When you are done click Convert.

STEP 3: Transferring the game to your PSP and playing!

After converting the game you will find a folder on the output directory named after the ID (which the program shows you) of the game you converted.
It is extremely important that you copy this folder on the right place which is inside the Game folder of the PSP. The full path goes like this:

Where TITLE is the folder you got from converting the game, that should be the game ID, ie: “SLUS1234”.

That’s it, the game should now appear on the psp game menu.

  • The game is listed as corrupted data: This is most likely due to wrong placement of the EBOOT file, it has to be inside a folder (title of the game) which is inside the game folder, not respecting this hierarchy will result in this error.

If the game hangs/freeze try changing the disc-load speed to fast.
This can be done from the menu that pops up when you press select inside the game.
And also from the same menu (Other settings) you should set the game to Full Screen.

Have fun playing those classics on your psp!

The PS4 has been able to play PS2 Classics for quite some time but once again Sony told us that only updated games will work but this was a lie as it could play most PS2 games with little work, to no work done to them. With the PS4 being jailbroken we found out we were able to take our PS2 collection and back them up into ISO files then convert them into PKG files for the PS4 to play.

Download: PS2.Classics.zip

When Extracted Please Run… “PS4 PS2 Classics GUI.application” this will install the base version all other versions will be updated via click once.

Features

  • Temp Directory Change from settings
  • Advanced window (just debug output from what I do in the application)
  • Multiple ISO Support
  • Custom Ps2 Config
  • Removed some unused code (commented out, for now, will remove in a new release)

Developer xXxTheDarkprogramerxXx, has been updating his tools to convert your PS2 games into PKG files called PS2 Classics. His tools are very simple to use, all you will need to do is backup your PS2 games you own into ISO format then use the ps2 classic program and it will do all the heavy lifting for you. Of course, you’re going to need a PS4 on firmware 4.05, 4.55, or 5.05 to take advantage of this.

It’s also very easy to add your own title & loading pictures, just right click with your mouse in the title or loading picture to bring up the quick option to change the pictures and you can even give any title name you want. Once you are done setting it up click on create PS2 classic and it will ask you where you like to save the PKG file it’s going to make. Now that you’re done converting it, just put the PKG file on a USB thumb drive that is FAT32 or exFat and use HEN to activate the debug settings to get to the package installer to install the pkg files on the USB drive.

Now some games will work perfectly fine but you will notice that some can lock up during certain movie scenes or loading to the next level. Logitech drive fx racing wheel for xbox 360 manual. Jai hanuman movie. So this isn’t a perfect process for playing backups but the pros outweigh the cons as most games work fine that I’ve made but I have run into a few with movie loading scene problems.

Check out the compatibility list below as it continually grows.
